No, I am not taking insurance in my private practice. If you are interested in using insurance, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for an out-of-network reimbursement. Every insurance plan is different so I encourage you to call your insurance ahead of time if you are interested in this option. I am also happy to try and connect you with other providers who do take your insurance.

For many reasons. Insurance companies often make it difficult for people to receive long-term care. I honor your privacy, and when paneling with insurance companies, they are able to review my notes to determine whether there is a “medical necessity” for therapy. Again this is often used to deny ongoing services. If they deem that your symptoms do not meet “medical necessity” they will often deny further services. Finally, I’m running a part-time private practice and taking insurance would mean spending more time navigating insurance companies than being able to work with people. Happy to discuss this more during a consultation.

I create a safe space and approach my work from a holistic perspective. I will not only ask about your mood but will ask about all aspects of your life that make you, you. I lead with a sense of curiosity and will often invite you to engage in that curiosity as well. Once there is an understanding of everything at play, we will develop a plan collaboratively to meet your goals and continuously review said plan to ensure your needs are being met.
